Bedok Integrated Complex, Singapore

Project details

This integrated community centre is a new building typology initiated by the Singapore govt. Under land pressure and increasing population density, the government devised the one-stop building to provide a vast array of amenities for the local neighbourhood population.

The amenities and facilities consist of Shopping, Polyclinic (mini hospital), Senior care and child care facilities, Library, Sport facilities and Community facilities such as cooking schools, karaoke, meeting rooms, banquet/ wedding halls, dance and music studios. All these amenities are incorporated in a 43,560 sqm building enveloped with a series of vertical, horizontal and pocket gardens.

The building and interiors have been designed to achieve the Green Mark Platinum rating. It also received the SG Mark, Singapore Good Design award winner.

URBNarc has done the interiors for the entire project for which the architect and lead consultant is Ong & Ong Pte Ltd.
